Our Southwestern Ontario Delivery Service is designed to make stops along the 401 corridor from Milton to Windsor. This allows you to place your order for livestock and dry goods and not expose it to the risks of a traditional courier. Your order will be organized and delivered in a controlled temperature vehicle and not bouncing around in the back of a delivery van.

How it Works
Here is an outline of how this service works. For and additional quaestions you may call or email us
Look through our special order livestock section and place your order. Your order is automatically sent to our supplier and the items are held for you. (All ORDERS MUST BE PRE PAID )We will then pick up these items and you will be informed of the delivery day for your area. If we feel an item looks unhealthy or concerning you will be refunded or credited and we wont send the item.
Your livestock order will be packed the day it is shipped That means no overnight shipping or bouncing around with other boxes in a courier van.
Our driver will endeavour to keep your items in a temperature controlled environment and get it to you safely. You will receive a call email or text when he starts his route and be able to track them in real time to help coordinate your pick up meeting at the specified location.
Step 3 - Pick up Location
The location of your delivery may vary from a centrally located place in your area to at your door. This will depend on your location in relation to the route and is at our discretion in order to keep things flowing.You will be noitified of the delivery location prior.
Step 4 - Delivery
Once the driver arrives at your designated location they will distribute the orders. If there any concerns about the contents please let the driver know right then.

Local Southwestern Ontario Livestock Delivery Policies
Local Delivery Policy
 We do not offer traditional livestock shipping nor do we ship Livestock outside our own delivery service area. Our focus is on our local area.
Livestock Ordering Policy
By making a purchase from our website you are agreeing that you have read and agree to these policies.
All sales or livestock, invertebrates and hardware are final. Once livestock orders are placed they can not be cancelled, modified or substituted. You can make an additional order if you would like.
All orders must be prepaid
No guarantees on colour accuracy as they may slightly vary from WYSIWYG items due to your lighting and tank environment.
You will only place livestock orders when your aquarium is established, mature, appropriate for the animal and your have prepared for its care.
No refund for any livestock losses that occurs during or after your acclimation process
If a livestock item is not up to our standards we will not bring it in and a refund or credit will be issued for that item.
Local delivery fees are non refundable.
For exceptions or emergencies please call the store as it takes 1-2 business days to respond to emails.Â
Local Pickup
Please contact us or wait to be contacted before coming to pick up your order. Do not asssume it is immediately ready for pick up.
Orders can be picked up during normal store hoursÂ
The less time your livestock spends in bags the better. We prefer to pack as close to pick up time as possible
Is there a fee for this service?
Yes, there will be a $15 packaging and handling fee. This covers heat packs (if required) insulated boxes and packing time.
Is there a minimum order?
Yes, there is a $50 Minimum order. We obviously can't drive all over for a couple snails for example.
Can I add dry goods to my order?
Yes, dry goods can be ordered. We suggest you order as soon as possible to give us time to make sure we have your items. If the item is not available for drop off we will ship it to you. Large items like aquariums, stand, sumps etc are not included at our discretion.
When must my order be placed by?
We will place countdown clocks at various and obvious places around the website to indicate the cut off time for the next set of orders. As previously mentioned, ordering early if including dry goods is key.
Can the available inventory change?
Yes, the inventory shown in the special order area is synced as often as possible with the supplier. They have orders coming and going all the time so things can change. We endovour to keep things as current as possble and will try and offer you alternatives if something comes up unavailable. That being said, if you see something you like you may want to order is when you see it.
What day is delivery?
Delivery days may flex. It will be posted with the countdown clocks
Will you leave my order on the porch?
No, You, or someone you authorize must be present to receive your order. We will not drop off orders unattended.
Customer no shows
If you do not show up for your pick up or no one is present to receive it, the livestock will become the property of Firehouse Pets. We care about the creatures and will consider that abandonment. No refund will be issued.
